(Peterborough, NH) The Gallery at Sharon Arts Colonnade Gallery announces it's 5th Annual Miniature Exhibition through January 9, 2006. Exhibitors include miniature artists from all over the country many of whom belong to various miniature art societies. A majority of the artists are also part of our Juried Gallery and /or are local favorites re-invited from past miniature art exhibitions.
Many different mediums will be represented including oils, pastels, watercolors and etchings. A "little bit" of something for everyone! This is an interesting exhibit to see how the artist is able to create such detail in a work of art that has no diminsion larger than 8 inches. Some of the art is much smaller as shown by the painting held in the palm of a hand.
Awarded "Best Art Gallery" in 2002 by New Hampshire Magazine, The Sharon Arts Center is a non-profit center that has been committed to the arts and artists for more than 50 years. The School at Sharon Arts received the "Best Art Classes" award from New Hampshire Magazine in 2003.
The Gallery is located at 30 Grove Street, Peterborough, and admission is free.
