THANK YOU! for all of your interest in and support of Sharon Arts Center. Your support and participation are vital as we work collectively to sustain our creative community- becoming a place “where the artist in all of us, from the newly-awakened to the long-established, can connect with the intrinsic value of art in our lives.”

Your tax-deductible gift helps to make possible our museum-quality exhibitions, important art education programs for all ages, and progressive and relevant creative initiatives such as CSArt, (an endeavor to support regional art, artists and collectors based on the CSA model and ArtAccess, our high school portfolio development program.

With well over 30,000 annual visitors to our downtown galleries, along with more than 1,200 annual students participating in our workshops and on-going classes, we are proud to say our mission is being realized.  In order to continue to provide unparalleled access to art for all and to strive even harder to fulfill our decades-long pledge to the Sharon Arts Community, we are committed to the following initiatives:

  • Awarding more scholarships that provide the needed assistance to students who value and want to explore their creativity
  • Innovating and putting forth a new form of art distribution (CSArt Project) that strengthens relationships between artist /patron while providing a stipend to the artist to explore new work
  • Engaging the Region through offering unique and diverse art exhibitions and extensive free year-round public programs
  • Re-invigorating our youth programming and educational possibilities:  offering new art experiences to ages 3+, growing the Teen ArtAccess program, and initiating new summer camps for 2012
  • Empowering the community to collaborate in our 2012 BRING JIMMY BACK! Campaign: a unique artist-in-residence experience aimed at youth that coincides with the Children & the Arts Festival
  • Increasing our special outreach programs to senior/elderly as well as to special needs individuals who benefit from the hands-on healing process of the visual arts
  • Fueling the art-makers of the Region while maintaining Sharon Arts as a destination point for selling work so that artisans, artists and craftspeople can continue to have an audience that helps to sustain their livelihood

Without your financial support, as well as the gifts of time and talent our many volunteers provide, Sharon Arts and the above initiatives simply could not exist. As you consider making your donation this year, we encourage you to learn more about the ways that Sharon Arts has an impact on folks right here in our region by viewing the “Art is…” image gallery below. In the spirit of community participation, we’d like to add your voice to the “Art is” chorus.

A Special Request from Executive Director Keri Wiederspahn…
