B Venture into the world of visual journaling, an expressive outlet and playground for your creativity. Explore a variety of techniques and materials while creating art for art’s sake; art that is yours alone and uniquely “you.” Keep an artful record of special events or travels as we explore journaling “on the go.” All levels are welcome as we play creatively and grow into our individual styles. Remember—it’s the journey, not the destination. Tuition $100, Member Rate: $85.

Vintage Vignette: A Study in Mixed Media

B Everyone has a special someone in their life that deserves tribute through an artist’s touch. This workshop will explore ways in which collage and mixed media can transform a canvas into a tribute to a life well-lived. Using ephemera, photos and a variety of art media, a personal story will be told. We’ll use techniques that instantly “age” your piece to create a time-worn effect. There will be a focus on texture, design, color and composition. Tuition: $55, Member Rate: $45.
