TEEN PROGRAMS
For Ages 13+

Searching for interesting and enriching ways to spend afterschool time? Are you a homeschooler seeking art instruction? These classes provide teens with the opportunity to experiment with various materials, processes and concepts in a fun social setting. Each class is filled with challenges and collaborations for a deeper understanding of art and craft.

(Teens are also welcome to participate in adult classes with permission from a guardian.)

Teen Torch (Ages 13+)

From beads and buttons to small vases and sculptures, explore “melting madness” on the torch, using both soft (Italian) glass and hard (Borosilicate) glass. Teen torchworkers will learn about studio safety as they skillfully manipulate glass to create amazing and unique works of wearable, decorative, and functional glass art. Learn to shape, blow, and balance glass on and off the mandrel. Join us as you add a new dimension to your portfolio and enjoy learning about the scientific properties of this fun and addictive medium. Materials fee: $55. Tuition: $165, Member Rate: $150.
