The Sharon Arts Center has two galleries: The Exhibition and the Community Arts; each gallery has a distinct purpose.
The Exhibition Gallery features the artworks of regional and nationally acclaimed artists in an invitational format, rotating every seven to eight weeks.
Gallery Layout Description – For Artists and Curators
Here are the dimensions of the gallery entering from Grove Street:
To the left: there are 5 wall bays that are each about 9.5 feet wide, each divided by a pillar that is one foot wide.
To the right: there is a long back wall that is 49.5 feet long.
To the Left of the large wall is a 18 foot 8 inch wall.
To the Right of the large wall is the door to the gallery office and a 10.5 foot wall with about 7.5 feet of usable space (there is a desk in front of the left hand side of this wall).
Floor Space: There is about 950 sq. feet of floor space where we can arrange.
*Individual works must not exceed 100 lbs in weight.
The front window: facing Grove Street there is a wall that is about 18.5 feet wide, and 11 feet tall. The glass in the window is coated with UV protection, so anything we hang there will be safe from sun damage.
