SAC School Receives $650 Via Nature’s Green Grocer’s “Green Rewards” Program

On January 7^th, 2011, a check was presented to non-profit Sharon Arts Center School of Art & Craft at Nature’s Green Grocer in West Peterborough, NH in the amount of $650. The funds, a result of Sharon Art Center’s selection as the beneficiary of Nature’s Green Grover’s “Green Rewards” program- Sharon Arts was selected as the non-profit of the month for December 2010.  Through their program, whenever Nature’s Green Grocer customers used their Rewards card to shop or dine at the popular West Peterborough store and cafe, a portion of their purchase was set aside as a donation to Sharon Arts.

“It’s so exciting to be partnering with other businesses in our area- we are honored that Nature’s Green Grocer selected Sharon Arts Center,” commented SAC School Director Alexandra Wall. “Amongst SAC’s recent efforts to acknowledge our community’s needs and ideas, we strongly desire to transform this gift into more opportunities for artists and students to partake in programming~ Thank you to Nature’s Green Grocer and Owner Joel Patterson for their generosity!”

About Sharon Arts

The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to engage the community in the artistic process, to support and serve artists and craftspeople, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events.

Sharon Arts Center offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH, a Fine Craft Gallery, a Juried Artist Member Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery in the Depot Square facility.

The Sharon Arts School is located at 457 Route 123 in Sharon, NH. Classes take place Monday-Thursday  from 10am-9pm, Fridays from 10am-4pm, and on select weekend days.  The Student Shop is open during school office hours, Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

The Sharon Arts Fine Crafts Gallery is located in Depot Square in Downtown Peterborough. Store hours are: Monday – Saturday, 10am to 6pm, Sunday, 12 noon – 6pm.
