Sharon Arts Invites the Public to a Gallery Warming and Annual Meeting Celebration!

Door Prizes, Artist Demonstrations, Refreshments and More at “Home is Where the Art is” – Sharon Arts Center’s Annual Meeting Celebration Tuesday, Oct. 26th!

Lisa Foote of Dublin, NH Learns to Weave with Connie Gray of Hancock at last year's meetingPeterborough, NH :// The community is invited to join Sharon Arts for “Home is Where the Art is,” – an Annual Meeting and Community Celebration at the Downtown Galleries in Peterborough’s Depot Square at 5:30pm, Tuesday, October 26th. Activities planned include artist demonstrations in a variety of media, door prizes, opportunities to explore our “please touch” exhibition Art With Feeling, and light refreshments. The celebration is free and open to the public.

Dublin Artist and SAC faculty member Heather Stockwell will lead a group mosaic project in which attendees can help to create a community mural of Mt. Monadnock, ultimately to be displayed at Sharon Arts. Other engaging demos will include SAC faculty members Ella Rank of Marlborough (felting), Connie Gray of Hancock (weaving and polymer), and Mary Iselin of Marlborough (oil painting)- watch and interact with these artists as their work takes shape throughout the evening.

Brief presentations by Executive Director Robert Pettegrew, and Director of Community Outreach and Communications Melanie McDonald will highlight Sharon Arts Center’s recent accomplishments and present a look at what lies ahead for this organization as it marks its 63rd year.

About Sharon Arts
The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to engage the community in the artistic process, to support and serve artists and craftspeople, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions,the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events.

Sharon Arts Center offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH, a Fine Craft Gallery, a Juried Artist Member Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery in the Depot Square facility.

The Sharon Arts Fine Crafts Gallery is located in Depot Square in Downtown Peterborough. Store hours are: Monday – Saturday, 10am to 6pm, Sunday, 12 noon – 6pm.
