Gallery. The event will recognize and celebrate the dedication of the Center’s 125 active volunteers.  It will feature tea, wine, and goodies as well as conversation and connection-emphasizing the ways that volunteer work leads to rewarding friendships and enhanced quality of life.  Sharon Arts Center’s “Earn & Learn” volunteer program facilitates the matching of volunteers with diverse skills with the organization’s needs. Through “Earn & Learn” volunteers can earn credits which they can redeem for discounts on membership, tuition, and special offerings throughout the year. Volunteers are encouraged to attend the event in its entirety or to simply drop-in anytime between 3 and 6pm to enjoy the festivities.

The Center’s volunteers give of their time and talents in many ways. In 2010 volunteers accumulated over 2,000 hours of service- a testament to their generosity of spirit and passion for the work of Sharon Arts. “Sharon Arts is a small organization with a small staff- it’s our volunteers who provide vital support for all of the important work we do to carry out our mission. Volunteers are our ambassadors to the community we serve,” explained Volunteer Coordinator Laura Redmond. Volunteers work at the School, Gallery, and Store providing support in numerous ways: administrative help, gardening, research, publicity, event assistance, hanging exhibitions, painting, and so much more!

We are encouraging volunteers who have helped in any capacity over the past year to register for this wonderful event.  To join in the celebration please contact Volunteer Coordinator Laura Redmond at (603)924-7256 ext. 310 or via volunteers@sharonarts.org.
