Handmade Quilts and Wall Hangings Featured Throughout September at Sharon Arts Downtown Galleries

Fiber Art by Mary Ellen PellerinPeterborough, NH: Just in time for the cool winds of fall comes this sparkling collection of handmade quilts and wall hangings by Mary Ellen Angelo Pellerin of  Keene, NH, SharonFiber Art by Mary Ellen Pellerin Arts’ featured craftsperson for the month of September.

Mary Ellen A. Pellerin is a self-taught quilter with thirty years experience. She is a designer and maker of scenic bed-sized quilts and attractive wall hangings sure to warm the look of any room. Great for gifts, too, as the holidays start to peek over the hill.

All of Ms. Pellerin’s quilts are made in her studio in Keene, New Hampshire and depict scenes from all over the world. Each work, from initial design and pencil sketch to final stitch, is done by her, painstakingly by hand and each is dated and signed by the artist. Ms. Pellerin’s quilts will be on view at Sharon Arts Center’s Downtown Galleries through September 30th.

About Sharon Arts
The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to engage the community in the artistic process, to support and serve artists and craftspeople, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events.

Sharon Arts Center offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH, a Fine Craft Gallery, a Juried Artist Member Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery in the Depot Square facility.

The Sharon Arts Fine Crafts Gallery is located in Depot Square in Downtown Peterborough. Store hours are: Monday – Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 10am to 7pm, and Sunday 11 – 4 PM.
