Selection of Meredith Burtt’s Warm and Wooly Handmade Handbags Featured at Sharon Arts Craft Shop in November
Locally made Handbags by Meredith Burtt At Sharon Arts in Time for Christmas
Peterborough, NH :// Custom made handbags by Sharon Arts member Meredith Burtt of Greenfield, NH are featured in time for Christmas giving at Sharon Arts’
nonprofit Craft Shop for the month of November.
“Meredith blends colors and textures in new and imaginative ways,” says Gallery Director Camellia Sousa, “ and combines a variety of wools and felts with gemstones, rock, metal, porcelain, ceramic, bone and wooden buttons, all fully lined. The result is some of the most spectacular handbags I’ve ever seen.”
Inspired by her grandmother, Beaulah Bagley Johnson, Ms. Burtt began knitting at the age of six. “The felted bags I make are inspired by a variety of textures and colors of various wools, creating unique and beautiful bags, of which no two are alike,” says Meredith Burtt.
