Peterborough, NH--- Sharon Arts presents the 62nd Annual Members Exhibition - a continuing tradition for the Monadnock Region. Members, students, staff and faculty are invited to display their work at the beautiful Exhibition Gallery located in Downtown Peterborough. The 62nd Annual Members Exhibition is open to everyone who has a current membership. Artwork ranges from paintings to prints to sculpture to ceramics to textiles, and more.
Sharon Arts attracts members from all over the region; each has the opportunity to submit one piece of art to be hung in the exhibition. The exhibition often attracts over 250 pieces of artwork in the gallery at one time. This is a great opportunity to view original works of art created by fellow members of the community and for artists in the community to show their work (in many instances for the first time). The 62nd Annual Members Exhibition will be on display from January 15th through February 28, 2010 in the Downtown Galleries located at 30 Grove Street in Peterborough. The preview reception will be held on Friday, January 15th from 5pm to 7pm, and is open to the public. Ample parking in Depot Square, admission is free. The Exhibition Gallery is open Wednesday - Thursday, 11am - 5 pm; Friday 11am - 6 pm; Saturday 11am - 5 pm; and Sunday 11am - 4pm. The Gallery is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. If you are interested in participating in the exhibition, please call 603.924.2787 for information. Delivery dates for submissions: January 7th, 8th, or 9th from 11am - 5 pm. Submission forms with guidelines and information can be downloaded on the homepage of the website: www.sharonarts.org. The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to support and serve artists and craftspeople, to engage the community in the artistic process, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events. Sharon Arts offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH, and has an Artists' Resource Center (selling art supplies), a Fine Craft Gallery, a Juried Artist Member Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery in the Depot Square facility.
