Sharon Arts to Celebrate Botanical and Floral Art

The Sharon Arts Center’s Fine Art Gallery will present “June in Bloom” June 1st through June 30th. The public is invited to attend the artists’ reception on Friday, June 1st from 5 to 7 p.m.

The exhibit is a celebration of botanical and floral art featuring original artwork of over 20 regional artists. The work represents an array of mediums including watercolor, oils, colored pencil, etching, sculpture, quilting, glass and felted flowers.

“Blooming Teas: Tea Tasting & Lecture” - Saturday, June 23rd at 2 p.m. Tickets must be reserved by June 15th, as space is limited. Danielle Beaudette of The Cozy Tea Cart will present the differences between white, green, oolong and black teas. The art in processing the loose tea and bagged tea will be discussed using a comprehensive photo presentation and detailed handouts. Also enjoy a mini discussion on iced teas and blooming silver needle white teas.

“Ikebana Flower Arranging”- Saturday, June 30th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Antoinnette Drouart of Ikebana Flower will demonstrate the art of Japanese flower arranging. This event is free to the public.

The Sharon Arts Center is a non-profit organization that enriches and inspires through visual arts education, exhibition and promotion.
