Sharon Arts Center is pleased to announce the simultaneous opening at its Exhibition and Members Galleries on Grove Street in Peterborough of two exhibits designed expressly for the holiday season.  A Season to Celebrate! brings together the vibrant new works of nine well-established artists, while Mini Splendored Things reprises the concept of the miniature, a form that has gained popularity in recent years.

"A big part of what we do is to assist artists in finding a market for their works, which is important even after the artist has begun to enjoy some success," says assistant gallery manager Susan Schaefer.  "These shows are designed to present some of the artists' most affordable work at the holiday season."
Assistant gallery manager Laurie Rebac adds, "And the buyer, whether previously a collector or not, will find a real opportunity to buy original art by an established artist."

Fiber Art by Pashya White

The exhibits are comprised primarily of paintings in all mediums. Included in A Season to Celebrate! is the fabric art of award-winning designer Pashya White of Peterborough.  The welded steel animal sculptures of Gerry Friedman are offered in Mini Splendored Things. All works in both shows are for sale, with nothing priced over $1200; the majority of paintings are priced considerably lower.

The public is invited to the opening reception for both exhibits on Saturday, November 22, 5 - 7 pm.

The exhibits run through January 10, 2004.
