Sporting Art Featured in Upcoming Exhibition

The Sharon Arts Center Gallery presents The Sporting Art Exhibition, October 5, 2007 - November 10, 2007

The upcoming exhibition at the Sharon Arts Center (opening reception October 5, 5-7PM) will feature art which celebrates hunting and fishing. An annual event at the Timberdoodle Club in Temple, NH, this year it will be in the Peterborough gallery to allow more visitors to enjoy the work from these local and nationaly-renowned artists.

Artists featured include Larry Antonuk, Roger Blum, John Bryan, Dale Carlisle, Peter Corbin, Daniel J. Duggan, Hank Garvey, Eldridge Hardie, Howard Hitchmough, Ed Kunelius, Ellen McCaleb, Chet Reneson, John Swan, David Tibbetts, Joan van Roden White and Nancy Whitehead.

On display will be oil and watercolor paintings, photography, hand-tyed fishing flies, hand-made fly-fishing rods, bronze and wood sculpture, hunting knives, antique fowling guns, antique and modern falconry furniture and more! There will be mid-day artist talks and demonstrations every other Saturday starting October 6.

The Sharon Arts Center is a non-profit organization. The Sporting Art will be on display in the Exhibition Gallery at 30 Grove St. Peterborough, NH until November 10.

Carver Dale Carlisle will be in the gallery discussing the history of and demonstrating the art of decoy carving as part of the Annual Sporting Art Exhibition. CarlisleÕs work is on display through November 10. This event is free and open to the public.
