The juries are panels consisting of SAC staff, teachers, and fellow artists all chosen for their reputations as professionals in their field, and for their own artistic accomplishments. There are two separate juries: one that meets specifically to review fine art submissions, and another that reviews craft submissions. The juries meet quarterly throughout the year to review materials submitted by New England artists. Please contact the appropriate gallery if you have questions about the application or the jury process.

If you have not sold work before, and are uncertain what your cost or retail price would be, please estimate. Consider the cost of your materials, your time, and the value of your original, creative idea. A gallery staff member can aid you in appropriate pricing if the Jury accepts your work.
· Feedback: After the Jury meets, you will be contacted by mail within four weeks with the Jury’s decision. No Jury decisions will be given over the phone or by email. When work is accepted, the next step is to meet with the gallery director to discuss the consignment process and assemble work to sell. If the jury chooses not to accept your work, they will work to provide helpful feedback and suggestions.
FINE ART vs. CRAFT
In order to better serve our artists and customers, the Sharon Arts Center galleries are divided into fine art and craft. The Fine Art Gallery exhibits and sells paintings, drawings, photography, monotypes, unframed fine art prints (giclées) and sculpture. The Fine Craft Gallery exhibits and sells work in clay, metal, glass, fiber, wood, prints, paper art, artist cards, jewelry and other media. Though the line between fine art and craft is often indistinct, it is important to submit to the appropriate jury. Please contact us if you need help determining which jury should review your work.
