Photography Takes Center Stage for Children in the Arts Day at Sharon Arts’ Gallery- Saturday, May 21 10:30-2pm
Sharon Arts Invites the Public to Join us For a Day of
Children in the Arts Day Activities
May 21st, from 10:30am to 2:30pm
A day of fun and discovery behind the lens is on tap at Sharon Arts’ Downtown Galleries in celebration of Children in the Arts Day Saturday, May 21st from 10:30am-2pm. The activities for
children are designed to engage families with our current exhibition Click! focused on photographer at the Exhibition Galleries located on Grove St. in Peterborough, NH.
Free, family-friendly hands-on opportunities will include: how to make photocopy transfers, color tinting of black and white photos, plus an exhibit of student photographs will show attendees the “magic” of photography. The activities will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 10:30am to 2pm. Activities are free and open to the public and no reservations are required. “It is always a pleasure to welcome families into our gallery during Children and the Arts Day, and throughout the year,” commented Melanie McDonald- SAC’s Dir. of Community Outreach. “Engaging with and providing opportunities for budding artists in our community, is just one reason why we are honored to participate in this amazing annual festival!”
Visitors will also be treated to a delightful collection of student work from area elementary schools lead by local photographers Kimberly Peck and Diana Place. The project, arranged via the ConVal Arts Enrichment program will be on display through Sunday, May 22nd with an opening reception Thursday, May 19th from 6:30-7:30pm.
