A Walk on the Left Bank– Exploring 2D or Not 2D at Sharon Arts Center

Artists of The Left Bank Cooperative will “Walk and Talk” their Work for 2D or Not 2D: Art Inspired by Poetry, Now at Sharon Arts

Peterborough, NH:// Sue Callihan and Soosen Dunholter (of Peterborough, NH),  along with Kim and Scott Cunningham (of Hancock, NH) – several artists of the Left Bank – will discuss Owls by Kim Cunninghamtheir work on display in The Sharon Arts Center’s current exhibit, 2D or Not 2D: Art Inspired by Poetry in an Artist Walk and Talk on Thursday November 18, 5:00pm to 6:30pm. This event is free and open to the public- all are welcome!

For this innovative exhibit, nineteen of the area’s most talented artists have combined to translate their favorite poems into a dazzling display of paintings, prints, collage, glass, ceramics and much more —  just in time for holiday viewing and gifting at Sharon Arts Downtown Gallery. “It’s a great opportunity, “ said Gallery Director Camellia Sousa, “for lovers of art to not only view the work, but to get an up close and personal briefing by the artists themselves on how the work came to be and its significance from the artist’s unique perspective.”

The mission of Sharon Arts Center, a non-profit organization, is to engage the community in the artistic process, to support and serve artists and craftspeople, and to foster the relationship between artists and the community through education, exhibitions, the promotion and sale of art and craft, as well as through special programs and events.

Sharon Arts Center offers a wide variety of art classes and programs in the school facility in Sharon, NH, a Fine Craft Gallery, a Juried Artist Member Gallery, and an Exhibition Gallery in the Depot Square facility.

The Sharon Arts Fine Crafts Gallery is located in Depot Square in Downtown Peterborough. Store hours are: Monday – Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 10am to 7pm, and Sunday 11 – 4 PM.
